Super Sunday

We were so blessed to spend Sunday afternoon relaxing with Mom Mom and Pop Pop.  We all watched the Eagles end their horrible football season with a loss to the Giants and ate some delicious hoogies made with love by Pop Pop.  The kiddos thought it was a bit boring so Mom Mom asked Raine if she wanted to play charades.  She LOVED it!  I was thrilled to see great grandparents playing with my 6 year old sassy pants.  It was so fun to watch everyone act up a bit.

We had an awesome plan to shop the King of Prussia mall and eat at Cheesecake factory for the remainder of the night.  Unfortunately for us, the mall stores closed at 6 pm and it was an hour and half wait for dinner. We made the best of it and had some yummy food.  Our children are troopers and were so well behaved.

Need for Speed

Today we went to redeem our gift cards from Pe Pere.  Reece was so excited, he couldn't wait to speed around the track.  When the kiddos heard their name called Aubrey and Raine panicked and started crying.  They were afraid to go on the big cars.  Reece came in third place against some big kids.  He loved it wanted to go again.

The girls finally decided to take their turn and were going to be the only two riding until two more boys hopped in line with them.  Raine drove super slow and steady.  Aubrey was trying to pass her but couldn't speed up enough.

Snowfall

A quick trip to pennypeck to check out the pretty snow fall.  Daddy had to throw a line in while it was snowing just because.  We enjoyed a little walk in the woods until our toes were too cold so we sat in the truck and waited for our crazy daddy.

Christmas Eve Hauguel Style

Noni makes a delicious Italian feast of spaghetti, meatballs, Italian sausage, bread and antipasto.
It was so good.  Aunt Teresa made a trillion Christmas cookies for dessert.  We were all stuffed!

Look what Raine can do...

SHE CAN DO IT!  Raine learned how to ride her bike this weekend and I couldn't be more excited for her.  We rode around the block 2, 3, 4, 5 times.  She is still learning how to start and stop but that's ok, she'll get it.  She is a stubborn little lady who must ride her way or no way.  Whatever works I say!

Thankful

I have been reading all over Facebook about how Thankful people are.  They post every day and probably will for the whole month of November.  I have had Thankful Thursdays for awhile now and don't think it should only apply throughout the month of November.  Blaaa

I am Thankful for:

My family and all of the love they give me.
Mo ~ for the hardworking man he is.
Reece ~ for the smile he always brings to my face.
Raine ~ for the strongwilled girl that she is.

Warm weather. I love fall, but the fact that we can still wear shorts and T-shirts really makes me grateful for desert weather.

Halloween candy.  It is so nice to know it's there if I need a chocolate fix!

Fall Decorations.  Something about the colors and pumpkins makes me happy.

Life.  I am blessed in so many ways...

Corn Fields

I love the sight of cornfields; they remind me of growing up in Marilla, NY.  I had them across the street from my house and I miss them terribly.  I have been blessed to walk through two different corn mazes this fall.

Fall is here

yet it was 99 degrees today and I still needed to slime my kiddos down before their soccer games.  Mo said he used the sunscreen stick while he rode 125 miles around Las Vegas.  Yep, you read that right. My hot hubby road 125 miles all over Vegas in 99 degree weather.  What a stud huh?

He really is amazing.  After only a week of training, he ventured out this morning at 4 am to pedal his little heart out.  We were very excited to hear his updates from the journey via texts and had fun seeing hime ride down the hill on Sunset across the finish line.  Reece couldn't wait to see his medal and Raine said she was not going to hug him because he would be all hot and sweaty.  Mo said he felt great most all of the ride except when his legs were cramping up in the beginning, something about not enough salt in his body.  He drank tons of electrolyte drinks and chewed some Cliff Margarita chews until his legs felt better.  Praying the whole ride proved to be an advantage for him as well, because he was still smiling at the end.  I love my hubby and his bike riding hobby.

My personal chef

I love this man and his desire to cook yummy food!  It is so nice to come home to see this but even better when his meal comes out tasting scrumptious, which is always the case!  I have the best hubby around!

Back to School

READY, SET, HERE WE GO!

Reece is ready for third grade with his new plaid shirts like daddy and super special Batman backpack. Raine can't wait to have Mrs. Jensen for first grade.

We are very excited to start school this year and look forward to all that we will learn.

Home and happy about how well it went, they can't wait to tell daddy all about it!

Cosmic Bowlin

Reece was getting the hang of bowling and even threw a few strikes.

Raine had a great time and wasn't too concerned about her score.

Look who one the first game! Reece was super excited!

Look at my hubby's form, you can tell he had a class in college called golf and bowling.

Look who won the second game, ME!

Happy kids who loved cosmic bowling with the Cub Scouts.

Spring Mountain Ranch

Tonight we joined the Feldman family at Spring Mountain Ranch to watch Joseph.  It was a very full house, lots church groups.  It is very fun to see scripture played out on stage.  The kiddos even understood what was happening since they know the bible story pretty well.  We all enjoyed a picnic dinner of Capriottis sandwiches, fruit salad, chips and cupcakes.  I thought for sure Raine would fall asleep but nope she was wide awake and ready to watch.  Mo explained a few parts to Reece and Raine just wanted to meet the actor who played Joseph.  She loved listen to the children sing there part and the girls too.  Tina, Tor, Alan took her down front to meet Tori's theater teacher who played the devil and sang like no other rockin' devil could.  Raine was so thrilled she met someone but a little disappointed it wasn't Joseph.  On the way out Reece asked his daddy to pull out his 7th loose tooth and Mo did.  Yikes, it was bleeding everywhere and made a huge mess.  Yet another eventful evening spent with our dear friends the Feldmans.

Sea World

We had an awesome visit with Uncle Brian and Miss Marie.  The kiddos were spoiled rotten and I was ok with that.  It was so much fun to run around fish prison with my lil brother and his amazing girlfriend.  We can't wait to go back and show Daddy around!

Sparks, NV

I could move here.  Yep, I said it!  After countless attempts to convince me to move to Reno, I think Mo's prayers have been answered.  I recently told him that is God opened a door and gave me a job I would move tomorrow.  There it is Lord, I challenge you to disrupt my happy little home in Las Vegas.

We arrived here on Friday to visit The Dahir's and The Brewer's and I am in love with this lovely little part of suburbia that they call Sparks.  It reminds me a lot of Bountiful, Utah; beautiful homes on the side of the mountains.  The trails and bike paths are everywhere, the landscaping is splendid and the views from Kris & Mel's back deck are freaking amazing.  Not look out into the ocean or Rockies amazing but pretty darn beautiful for the desert of Nevada.

I cherish these families and would love to spend my last 5 years working for the state of Nevada up here.  My husband could fish the Truckee River and I could hang out with some wonderful people!

Bring it on God...

A Night Out

We had such a nice night out at Birkdale dining at Bad Daddy's restaurant.  I love how much my daughter adores my sister but more importantly, how Jaime embraces her shadow with such enthusiasm! Mo and Reece waited at the restaurant while us gals checked out Francesca's; a super cute little store I love!  Jaime found two darling dresses and I scored a steal; a $2.98 belt for a new skirt I bought in Colorado. Miss Raine was able to get new nail polish for her slumber party with Aunt Jaime tonight after dinner.  Once at home we all retired to our own rooms to watch movies or for me the Olympics!

Do you know these kids?

Jaime bought a Groupon to Picture People and this is what I did while the lady was editing our real photos.  It was quite an experience trying to get these three kiddos to cooperate.  Each and every photo had one of them not smiling or acting goofy.  I guess that is what you get with a 6, 8 and 10 year old with Myers blood!

Thankful Thursday

I love when I have time to make this kind of delicious breakfast for my boy.  He loves scrambled eggs and has even mastered making them himself.  Patience was something he forgot to bring to the kitchen with him this morning.  I think my growing 7 almost 8 year old was too hungry to wait for the eggs to cook.  The wait was worth it when you look at that scrumptious plate!

Let's go to the movies...

Can you guess what we saw?

The theater was empty when we arrived, the kiddos became very excited and ran to sit in the front. Mo and I made our way back to the middle of the theater and then wondered we should let them stay there. I was fine with it and they seemed to behave themselves the whole time.  When I asked the kids what was their favorite part they said when they could hear me laughing out loud. Oh and the Sid's silly mama.  It was a really funny flick and a fun day at the movies.

Visit with Jaime & Casey

After 10 hours in the car we have made it to our last vacation spot on the east coast Huntersville, NC! Reece & Raine are very excited to see Aunt Jaime & Casey. I look forward to walking the green belt, laying by the pool and hanging with my sis. I love summer vacation.

PSU

All day have been trying to decide on whether the punishment fits the crime in the PSU debacle and I still don't know. How can you punish the current and future students of PSU, they didn't hurt anyone. Taking away all the years of wins and success sucks too. As a collegiate athlete, I would be devastated to know all of my hard work, season after season no longer exists. Wins are still wins! It's a shame they can't just punish the people at the top whom were involved.  I suppose if it were my son, I would want extreme justice for years of dismay but God says to forgive right?

Tired

I am tired of my stupid allergies!  There were just fine in Ocean City.  All that salt air was great for my sinuses but now they are flaring up again.  It has been a bad summer of headaches, sneezing and a runny nose.  I guess I am meant to live near the ocean.

Love me some Sunday brunch and at great diner.  The Hauguel's frequent this diner on Sunday mornings after church.  We didn't make it to church this morning but did enjoy some delicious pancakes, eggs and bacon from a local small town restaurant that has been around FOREVER!

Back Inland

Our three week beach vacation came to an end today as we packed up all of our belongings and headed north to Philly.  We had an amazing time in Ocean City and made some awesome memories.  I think my kiddos are suntanned and water logged.  I know we are still finding sand in some very interesting places too.

Thankful Thursday

I love this little girl and how much fun she is.  She loves life and especially this cute Phillies outfit from her Aunt Amber.  We have had a fantastic time making memories here on this boardwalk every summer.  So extremely thankful for the blessings of being teachers so we can travel all summer long.
