I have been reading all over Facebook about how Thankful people are. They post every day and probably will for the whole month of November. I have had Thankful Thursdays for awhile now and don't think it should only apply throughout the month of November. Blaaa
I am Thankful for:
My family and all of the love they give me.
Mo ~ for the hardworking man he is.
Reece ~ for the smile he always brings to my face.
Raine ~ for the strongwilled girl that she is.
Warm weather. I love fall, but the fact that we can still wear shorts and T-shirts really makes me grateful for desert weather.
Halloween candy. It is so nice to know it's there if I need a chocolate fix!
Fall Decorations. Something about the colors and pumpkins makes me happy.
Life. I am blessed in so many ways...

Thankful Thoughts 01
Thursday, May 06, 2010
Thankful for this new month, May is so marvelous for the Hauguel family. I can’t wait to see how much fun it brings us. The weather is finally staying warm and we are able to wear shorts, Raine loves this! She is a summer loving girl with flip flops in hand. I can’t blame her one bit.
The countdown is on, only 17 and half more days of school. We can subtract a few because of field day, field trips and bbq’s. I love the end of the school year because is it crammed with super special days. Kindergarten graduation is one of the most special in our house. I can’t believe that my baby is going to be graduating from his first year of school. It blows me away when I think back to that first day of walking around his classroom, giving him a kiss on the cheek and walking away with tears streaming down my face. I am so thankful he has had such an awesome experience in Kindergarten. He has talked about every moment with such enthusiasm and joy. I should have recorded those dinner conversations in ink or on tape or something.
Mo and I are also celebrating a very special event too; 10 years of marriage! WOW, time has flown by. I can remember my dad walking me down the aisle to that handsome man I was about to wed. The tears streaming down his face were the best part of the day; I was swept away. I’m still trying to figure out what we should do to celebrate but I hope to make it special. We have come so far in 10 years.
I am so incredibly thankful for my Lord and Savior who gets me through all of the chaos and excitement this month brings! Without him I would surely crash and burn a few times. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Google Lit Trips AHHHH
I am so tired of trying to figure out codes. I have a huge project due tomorrow night by 11:59 pm. I will get it done. I am 2/3 finished. Now that I have a better idea of what I am doing, I can work on some of it tomorrow at school. I hate that I had all of spring break to do this and I (once again) waited to the last minute to finish it. Why is it I procrastinate so much? I would really like to change that about myself, but after 30 yrs of doing it, don't think it's going to happen. I am very thankful I accomplished some other tasks that have been hovering over me. I finally handed in a student intervention file that was long overdue. I graded papers and input grades for tomorrow's progress report. I called and scheduled an appointment with the ear, nose and throat doc for Raine. I cancelled the kids dentist appointment for a third time. I got gas in my car. I feel a huge sense of accomplishment tonight and will now go relax in front of the TV.

Sigh
Thankful Thursday begins with being able to take a day off. I am home with a definite sick kid and a possibly sick kid. Here's what I am thankful for:
a school nurse who doesn't send my kid back to his kindergarten classroom because he has a wicked rash and very red & swollen tonsils
a sub who just happened to be in the building volunteering as a parent helper
lesson plans that came together in 5 mins
a doc appointment at 1:00
time to get to Cornerstone and get Raine for the appointment also
the nurse ran a strep test on Reece
we were able to get antibiotics for both kiddos so it will go away and we won't have to come back to the doc next week with Raine
I had a granola bar stashed in my glove box because no lunch was making me a cranky mommy
I got to get away from the sick kiddo and go hang out with my teacher friends for a fun game of Bunco
I had the 4 Buncos and the last Bunco of the night making me a big winner
God supplied the funds to pay for 75% of that doc visit with my winnings
God supplied more funds, because Mo sold an old truck part
God supplied even more funds because Mo welded someones trailer in our driveway
I need to post all that I am thankful for because it has been a rough week. I know God will only give me what I can handle, but I wasn't sure I was going to be able to make it.
Thank you Lord for strength and mercy.

Thankful Thursday
I came home from an extremely long day at work (7:45-6:00) to a super yummy stuffed pork chop and green beans. My hubby is such a good cook! I love that he has taken over that role for me. Today was the last day of a three week tutoring boot camp at my school. I am very thankful for the extra money I made helping the 4th graders get ready for the stupid criterion referenced test, but it was not easy. Mo having dinner on the table each night I came home sure made it worth it. In fact, he has been making dinners most every night of the week since the new year rolled in. We started planning our menus and writing them down so that it would be easy to come home and cook. Simple huh? You should try it, we love it. Mo has a habit of loading our veggies with lots of butter and salt but I shouldn't complain because I didn't have to do it! I wish I liked more seafood dishes because on Valentine's Day Mo made himself the best looking lobster tails. All of this to say I love that he is not landscaping every afternoon cuz I get some pretty delicious food and only have to do the clean up! I grew up doing dishes, so I don't mind that job too much. Scrubbing bathrooms, now that's a different story!
